Mende Language Project
Through the efforts of the Sierra Leone Bible Society, the Mende people have the Bible in their own language. However, approximately 85% are illiterate and can’t read the Bible for themselves.
Invest in primer/basic reader development: $15,000; Printing: $4,000
Adopt a literacy program supervisor for one year: $1,600
Sponsor four Teacher Training Workshops at $600 each.
